A female impersonator from Baltimore, Milstead went from touring the underground midnight circuit to starring in Water’s unforgettable and trashy films of the 1970s and 80s. Celebrated as the “Queen of Trash” during his lifetime, Divine was a bit of an unknown to wider audiences at the time of his death at the age of 42. This is Dead in Hollywood, and This is Divine!
