DEAD BY THE BEACH

Today, I escaped the L.A. heat by going to Ginger Rogers Beach - the "gay beach" at the Northern end of Will Rogers State Beach near lifeguard tower 18 in Santa Monica. Seeing as it's the first night of Halloween, tonight's scary movies will be beach-themed, starting with the classic "Jaws" and followed by Charles Busch's "Psycho Beach Party." We'll then dive into the new HBO documentary "537 Votes," which will piss me off and scare the shit out of me. Then we'll climb into bed and fall asleep to John Carpenter's "The Fog." What are you watching on this first night of Halloween? If you need me, I'll be in front of the T.V. "Eleven fifty-five, almost midnight. Just enough time for one more story..."
