Dead in Hollywood: Coming Soon!

Hello Deaders,

Hard at work on the next 4 Dead in Hollywood fanzines! “Marilyn of Avalon” will tell the story of Marilyn Monroe’s year and a half living on the island of Catalina off the coast of Southern California. “The Crucifixion of George Michael” will focus on that infamous day when George Michael was arrested for “lewd conduct” in a Beverly Hills restroom. “Prince” will be a tribute to the life of one of my favs and my journey this past April to Prince’s home and studio Paisley Park. “The Night Stalker” will be an in-depth retelling of one of California’s most horrifying serial killers, Richard Ramirez.

Sleep tight, Dead in Hollywood

OUTFEST OPENING NIGHT

On our way to opening night of OUTFEST to watch the documentary “Circus of Books.” Circus of Books was the first place that was willing to sell my zines. I remember the owner, Karen Mason, saying, “Why are you doing this? There’s no money in zines.” 😁 I found her candor refreshing and inspiring. Circus of Books gave me the courage and confidence to create. 2 years and 15 issues later, here we are.

Bob and Carol and Ted and Alice... and Natalie

Director Paul Mazursky prepping Robert Culp, Natalie Wood and Dyan Cannon for the "orgy scene" in Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice. The movie is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. I still have yet to see this movie. Adding it to my weekend movie-a-thon along with a bunch of Tab Hunter movies this weekend.
